Activists to Call for Open Internet at Global Forum
November 1, 2012
As the internet becomes a major battleground for human rights and democratic activism, Freedom House is headed to Baku, Azerbaijan for the 7th annual Internet Governance Forum, the UN's flagship conference for discussing internet policy. More than 25 civil society leaders from around the world will join our delegation to advocate for human rights online, protect the openness of the internet and help shape its future. We will also host the final competition of the IGF Incubator Challenge in Baku, as seven finalists compete to win funding for innovative projects promoting global internet freedom.
