Director of Center for Religious Freedom Urges Congress to Promote Religious Freedom Around the World

Nina Shea, Director of Freedom House's Center for Religious Freedom, testified today for the House International Relations Committee on the State Department's annual Human Rights Reports' coverage of religious freedom issues.
Ms. Shea commended the reports for their thoroughness, but added testimony for specific countries where religious persecution is particularly problematic: China, Cuba, Egypt, India, Iraq, North Korea, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Sudan and Vietnam.
