Freedom House Hosts Panel: “Islam in the Age of New Media”

On July 19, Freedom House hosted “Islam in the Age of New Media,” a panel discussion about the role that new media has played in shifting the nature of religious authority and interpretive rights within the Islamic faith. The discussion featured the insight of the former editor of the Jakarta Post, Endy M. Bayuni, Sudanese blogger Amir Ahmad Nasr and Freedom House’s Freedom of Expression Officer Courtney C. Radsch.
