Women's rights in the Gulf Arab states have undergone a "seismic shift" in the last five years, according to Sanja Kelly, project director for Freedom House's latest report. Women's Rights in the Middle East and North Africa: Gulf Edition released February 11 at an event featuring Bahraini Ambassador to the United States Houda Nonoo and experts on Oman, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
