Freedom House joins the undersigned organizations in calling for concerted action from the UN human rights community after the conviction of three Mauritanian anti-slavery activists was upheld on appeal on August 20, 2015.

Today, a Mauritanian court upheld the two year prison sentence against prominent anti-slavery activists Biram dah Abeid, Brahim Bilal and Djiby Sow.
