The rage against critics of the National Radio and Television Council’s sudden decision to ban cable broadcasts of the Russian television channel Dozhd in Ukraine is understandable but misguided.

Ukraine’s National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting (NRCT) issued a decision banning Ukrainian distributors from broadcasting TV Dozhd. 

Freedom House issued the following statement in response to a draft law that would require anti-corruption organizations and their staff to make detailed financial disclosures.

Russia's Supreme Court upheld the banning of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis and designated it as an “extremist organization."
