The past year has brought a new set of opportunities and challenges to the media landscape around the world.  Where are the global trends in press freedom headed?  Which countries have experienced progress or setbacks?  Has political change in the Middle East improved conditions for independent media? And what dynamics are expanding or restricting space for free expression?  On May 1 Freedom Hosue and the Newseum hosted a discussion of changes in the media landscape based on the newly released findings of  Freedom of the Press 2013.
