uVirtus Linux Launch Party
1776 DC, 1133 15th St. NW, Washington, DC 20005
uVirtus Linux founder Dishad Othman, a Syrian activist and specialist in information security, discussed his work in Syria and demonstrated the potential of the uVirtus operating system to help people living in conflict zones, as well as anyone who wants better digital security. Also it’ll be an opportunity to meet the other team members and talk more about the operating system in detail.
uVirtus is a fully encrypted computer operating system, which streamlines security tools and makes them more accessible to non-tech users. The operating system and accompanying applications were created with open source software so that uVirtus Linux will be available to any user and easily adapted or modified to suit a user’s specific needs, on both the client and server sides.
