Freedom House today called on President George W. Bush to raise Azerbaijan's poor democratic record when he and Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev meet at the White House on April 28.
Today in Tbilisi, Freedom House urged reform-minded leaders in Georgia to observe democratic process while advancing reforms.

The report is an improvement over previous iterations, but it still lacks a sense of clear U.S. strategy towards the expansion of freedom around the world, Freedom House said today.
On March 29, 2006, President George W. Bush addressed assembled Freedom House Trustees, staff and supporters at the mid-point of a daylong conference convened by Freedom House on the state of democracy in sub-Saharan Africa.
On Wednesday, March 29, 2006, Freedom House will host Africa at the Crossroads: Assessing Strategies for Democratic Reform, a conference examining the continent's democratic development and identifying strategies to assist with further political reform.
