Jennifer Dunham

Director of Research, Freedom in the World and Freedom of the Press

Jennifer Dunham is the director of research for Freedom of the Press and Freedom in the World at Freedom House, and oversees the research and methodological review process for both publications. She regularly briefs government officials, donors, and the media on the findings of Freedom House’s annual reports and on general trends in press freedom and democratic governance, and authors essays and blog posts on issues ranging from media freedom to governance in sub-Saharan Africa. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history-sociology from Columbia University and a master’s degree in international relations from New York University.
