Katie Turner
Program Manager, Latin America and the Caribbean Programs
Katie Turner is a Program Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean Programs at Freedom House, where she leads democracy and human rights programs across the region. Her work focuses on supporting civil society, countering repression, advocating for political prisoners, and promoting fundamental freedoms in challenging environments. Prior to joining Freedom House, Katie worked at the Association for Enterprise Opportunity and Ashoka, advancing initiatives in economic opportunity, entrepreneurship, and social innovation. She also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Costa Rica. Katie holds a master’s degree in International Development from American University and a bachelor’s degree in International Business from the College of Charleston.
