Matthew Barak is a Research Associate at Freedom House, primarily covering the Americas for Freedom in the World and Freedom on the Net. He was the 2021-22 Freedom in the World Junior Fellow for Europe and Eurasia. Previously, Matthew worked as a Civic Information Research Associate at the Center for Tech and Civic Life, where his research helped ensure that all voters had the information they needed to engage with U.S. democracy. Matthew holds a BA in Government from Georgetown University.
