Nodari Tsaava
2024-2025 Freedom in the World Junior Fellow for Eurasia
Nodari was a recent graduate of Connecticut College, where he majored in Government and American Studies with a focus on Politics, Society, and Policy. His academic work concentrated on creeping authoritarianism, democracy, and conflict resolution, culminating in a senior project on the influence of state-sponsored nationalism on authoritarian regimes and their legitimacy. In the spring of 2023, Nodari studied abroad in Milan, Italy, focusing on the European Union’s history, integration process, and current challenges. Having lived in Georgia, Armenia, and Russia, he has developed a keen interest in the Eurasia region.
