Rachel Citrin

Program Officer, Asia Programs

Rachel Citrin is a Program Officer on Freedom House’s Asia Programs team. Prior to joining Freedom House, Rachel worked at the National Endowment for Democracy, where she supported democracy and governance programming in the Asia-Pacific Region. She also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines, where she applied for and implemented a USAID grant to promote female leadership and literacy at a local university, designed and led youth leadership trainings, taught political science courses at a local university, and worked at a non-governmental organization to promote children’s rights and representation in local government processes. Rachel holds an MA in International Relations at the University of Chicago and a BA in Political Science and in Middle Eastern and South Asian Studies from Emory University.
