Roza Melkumyan
Program Associate, Europe and Eurasia
Roza Melkumyan is a Program Associate at Freedom House working with projects in Armenia and Ukraine that aim to foster democratic culture, combat mis- and disinformation, and protect freedom of expression in places of political and geopolitical turmoil. Prior to joining Freedom House, she spent almost four years living and working in Armenia for a local non-profit aiming to develop the country's tourism sector through ethical practices. She is a freelance journalist and creative non-fiction writer focusing on the intersectionality of culture in Central Asia and the South Caucasus. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from New York University in 2018.
