Marking the  launch of Freedom on the Net 2024: The Struggle for Trust Online, Freedom House joins the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Freedom Online Coalition for the Europe launch of the report.

The event will begin at 5:00PM CET, with doors opening at 4:30PM and a reception afterwards. The event will be held in-person and live-streamed online.

The event will feature:

  • Welcome remarks from Ernst Noorman, Ambassador at Large for Cyber Affairs at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (TBC)
  • A keynote from Marietje Schaake
  • An overview of research findings from Allie Funk, Research Director for Technology and Democracy and Grant Baker, Research Analyst for Technology and Democracy

A discussion with:

  • Konstantinos Komaitis, Senior Resident Fellow at Atlantic Council
  • Nasiru Deen, FOTN author for the Gambia report
  • Sabhanaz Rashid Diya, Founder and Executive Director of Tech Global Institute
