Join Freedom House for the launch of Freedom on the Net 2024: The Struggle for Trust Online. Following a presentation on key findings from the 2024 report, experts will discuss global trends, country-specific developments, and best practices for how to protect internet freedom.

The event will feature:

  • Welcome remarks from Freedom House Interim President, Nicole Bibbins Sedaca
  • A keynote from Dr. Eileen Donahoe, Special Envoy & Coordinator for Digital Freedom, Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy, US Department of State
  • An overview of research findings from Allie Funk, Research Director for Technology and Democracy and Kian Vesteinsson, Senior Research Analyst for Technology and Democracy

A discussion with:

  • Farieha Aziz, Director, Bolo Bhi
  • Artur Pericles Lima Monteiro, Lecturer in Global Affairs & Schmidt Visiting Scholar, Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs, author for FOTN Brazil report
  • Alissa Starzak, Vice President, Deputy Chief Legal Officer and Global Head of Public Policy, Cloudflare
