Key Initiatives
Creative Activism Workshops
Freedom House invites Belarusian activists and active citizens interested to learn more about activism and volunteerism to participate in a two-day Creative Activism workshop. The online workshop will introduce practical tools in problem analysis, campaign planning, volunteer recruitment, citizen organizing, message development and media outreach, and methods of civic engagement, with emphasis on effective communication with target audiences. Successful workshop graduates will have the opportunity to apply for funding to implement their own local initiatives. Applications for the first Creative Activism workshop will be considered on a rolling basis. To apply, use the form here.
Spots are limited and participants will be selected on a competitive basis. Preference will be given to applicants with a strong interest in activism and volunteering in their local community, and/or who demonstrate innovative thinking about potential local actions that incorporate diverse target groups.
Mini-Grant Competition: Support to Advocacy and Civic Initiatives in Belarus
Freedom House invites applications for funding and support for civic initiatives and advocacy campaigns addressing pressing community- or national-level issues in Belarus. For more information on applying, see the call for applications on the form here.
