Since the Revolution of Dignity in February of 2014, Ukraine’s economy has passed through a perfect storm. The brief looks at how the country survived the storm using administrative measures, macroeconomic policy, and international support, and argues there are no alternatives to reforming the economy. To thrive long-term, Ukraine’s politicians will have to address systematic corruption and legalize the shadow part of the economy.
